Corel Wine Glasses curving text

Postby jjackson » September 30th, 2014, 7:20 pm

I am trying to use the technique on the main page under graphics tutorials "Tutorial, Fitting Text On A Tapered Cylinder". I was wondering what the easy way to create the curved line shown is. If I try to make a 3 point elipse, and set the arc to 180 degrees it sort of works but the ends of lines go exponential. I could make a much larger elipse and then try and trim it, but then to get the exact length and offset seems to become trial and error.

I figure there is a better way to do this than trial and error.

The project is a batch of balloon wine glasses with four lines of text.

Thanks

John

Hey John,

Give me a few minutes to watch the tutorial and then I'll see if I can help.

Okay I think I know which part you're talking about.

Draw a straight line with the freehand tool, click on shape tool, click on the line then on convert line to curve. Is that what you're wanting?

Yes that was it - thanks Kelly!

It is one of the gag wine glasses with the pour lines up the side.
