Color, sealer, epoxy?

Postby Kazuale » May 12th, 2013, 6:15 pm

Is there a specific kind of paint to use on stone or bricks? Will exterior spray paint work? What about for fundraiser bricks? Does anyone etch custom bath or kitchen tiles?

yes-lithichrome is a stone paint

yes-I have pieces (rock) with Krylon black paint that still looks great after 3 years on bluestone but wouldn't expect it to last 1/3 of the time lithichrome will last. Surprised it lasted this long. Would not use on customer projects tho

Lithichrome is my preference as well. I just purchased some stone tone and another kind from GCT but have yet to use them. I have some rock with Kryolon and Rustolium and it only lasted a year here in Florida but some back in MN still look great after 4-5 years with. Lilke Kevin says, if it's for a customer don't take a chance.

I love stonetone paint - smells like vanilla...black is nice and black, the gold is good also. Use on boulders and rocks. Monuments and memorials I still use litho until I see how stone tone pans out - on 3rd year of tests and all is well.
