Oktoberfest... Anyone set up a display?

Postby NikkiInMd » August 14th, 2010, 11:37 am

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has setup a display/sale at an Oktoberfest? If so, how did it go and what kind of items were good sellers?

I am thinking about doing a fair but have not sold myself on the idea just yet. lol

Thanks :)

I seem to sell alot of US Marine stuff at sales like this. I also set up wedding displays and get a few orders, not so much at the time but I hand out company cards that will land sales down the road. Nikki you will do fine you are such a wonderful artist and peson you willl have no problem on what ever you decide to sell. Mike

Hey Nikki,

I don't know what you could take other than the obvious beer mugs. Perhaps some Thanksgiving stuff? Of course if you go dressed like these ladies you'll sell anything you take!

Mike, thank you sir <blushing and batting my baby browns> lol

Kelly, good idea on the costume girl! I could carry that off. Hubby might not let me out of his sight but it is a good thought. <g>

Tom, I actually emailed the company hosting the show to see if I could use the 2010 logo to etch on items. I will see what they respond with.

WooHoo, I got an answer today.

This is what I asked
"I was wondering if I could get permission to etch this years logo on beer mugs or other items?

Please let me know or let me know who I would need to contact for permission."

Here is the response:
"The 'price' for permission is .... 1 complimentary mug."

Now to decide if I really want to do this or not. lol

I have decided to do a Christmas show in Nov.

Any ideas on the Oktoberfest would be appreciated gang :)

Boy Nikki, can't beat that price with a stick... Congrats.

Just a thought... Could you do the logo without a year on it? That way if you had mugs left over they wouldn't go to waste and you might be able to sell them the following year. Just a thought...
