Where to purchase AO

Postby Jim McDaniel » May 18th, 2017, 4:31 pm

Anyone have a good supplier for AO 150 to 180 grit? Would like to get at least 50lbs.

Thanks

I've purchased from Zoro.com in the past.

I purchased from zoro, It was garbage. Mostly powder that trashed the grit I mixed it in with. It was so bad with fines (powder) mixed in that I emptied 2 cabinets and cleaned them out. Tossing good grit away. 2 different grits one for each cabinet. I don't recall if I had one ao and one sic or not but 2 different grits (2 bags each) and ended up cleaning both cabinets out. There was so much powder mixed in that I could not see inside my cabinet. Worse than having no dust collection. Absolute JUNK.

I have ordered from Ikonics and GCT always with good results. To save a few bucks on shipping is just not worth it to me when you don't know what your getting.

If your blasting rock and want 120-150 I think tractor supply carries that and sometimes harbor freight. At least the ones by me so you may be able to order from them.

I contacted and then purchased for Detroit Abrasive. Price was good. Shipping not bad considering it was 50 #s. I do recommend them and will purchase from them again. Thanks to all that helped me with finding a supplier.

To save more, I order enough to load a pallet, then ship via freight carrier. That softens the blow on the shipping.
