hazardous weather warning

Postby bernie » August 2nd, 2015, 12:45 pm

For those of you that get hot summers ... its no big deal to get mid 80's and mid 90's and much higher than that.

However ... for Seattle it is a big deal. We have had so many hot days, the national weather link that I have on my computer
has "Hazardous Weather Conditions - heat advisory" in pink on the top of the page. :)

Only good thing is that I haven't had to mow the yard :) and the horses are keeping the field grass to a minimum. Not used
to seeing brown grass or brown fields in western Washington.

Bernie, I hope you get some rain soon. It's rare to see 90's in upstate NY but the do happen, humidity and all.

People in western Washington would die with those kind of temperatures. Eastern Washington gets about 105 for a high.

We have now gone back to downpour rain ... the fields need it as things are too dry. Eastern Wa. got nailed with a lightening
storm and is dealing with wild fires and some areas being evacuated ... just in case it really gets out of control.

Wow guys, that's way too hot for me. 116? I don't know how you do it. Last week we had a heat wave, about 90 degrees. It was so darn hot that I was cooking supper in my skivvies and camping out in the basement. We finally got some much needed rain which was good for the wild fires but much too late for the farmers.
