Well, today the electrician came by to estimate what would have to be done. The issue was primarily finding a wiring pathway from the garage to the breaker box, a distance of 100ft or more. I'm glad to say he did. he will work up an estimate by Monday. Other than the pathway, all else is pretty much standard. Thanks for listening to my updates. Hopefully by this time next year, I'll have something creative to show for it.

SWEET! I can't wait to hear how it went. I wasn't prepared for how expensive the plug was. It didn't come with the compressor. They charged me about $65 for just the plug and cord.

Well, I'm expecting his call today. The 20amp rated cord is 39¢ a foot plus the outlet and PVC that will run alongside the house to a basement entrance. The 6ft. cord connecting the compressor to the outlet was $10 from HD. I'm expecting a few hundred dollars cost for labor and materials.

Situation remedied! 220 outlet has now been installed... $350. The cord stretches from the garage to the basement on the opposite side of the house, about 112 ft. Job looks good, compressor runs well. I've been told by several people that the cost was well within reason. A friend is coming over to anchor it then I can begin the piping.
