Well I had a week in April ....Came home and did 6 days a week at the shop till memorial day....Usually like tonight I do my layout work at home on the laptop hour or so every night ....Tonight gonna be about 3 cause I'm putting a new to me design in the system, customer wanted a design to match existing monuments..
I think Im due another week...
My Daughter has been wanting to go with my wife and I on a cruise, so this one is HER graduation present for graduating Lyon College, I get to go cause I paid for it!
Catch the train in Memphis Tn 7AM July 4th, arrive in New Orleans about 3 PM , get the room, mess around the French Quarter Sat night. Get on the Boat at abt Noon on Sunday the 5th. Leave town at 4 PM in the Gulf about Midnight .......One week of being Pampered, no fone, etc etc ....
Ill bet most here don't realize New Orleans is at mile 95 from the head of passes mouth of the Mississippi river :o The ship terminal will be about mile 92 just below the HPL bridge .

Something is wrong with this picture. I'm doing 6 days a week for 12 months with a few 3-day vacations fit in there. Actually, every day is a vacation. Taking time off can be a little stressful. ;-)

Thats why I like the cruise so much, I DO NOT buy the international cell plan, fones goes on AirPlane MODE if it is important enough someone can call the Marine Operator and get an emergency call to me, otherwise I will be home in a week.
PS The cruise is the best bang for the buck vacation I have had, no driving past Memphis Tn, about 3 hours from here, unpack once on the ship, pack back and go home....

Charles-
Sounds great, except for the humidity, knowing there's plenty AC on the boats. I just barely use a cellphone, so am not bothered with inane calls. I enjoy hearing about your trips, and am only a little envious. Today, we hit 114 degrees here, with about 20% humidity. Walking outside is a lot like sticking your head in an oven, for the first 5 minutes, then you begin to sweat, and life is good again. Spent most of the day working out in the yard, and believe me when I say, I would NOT trade your weather for ours, or even Terry's!
Hope you have a great time!

Jess we really enjoy the train ride to and from New Orleans, we usually just nose around the French Quarter to hear some of the up and coming musicians playing basically for free in the many eating places in the Quarter. Their is an inexpensive trolley system in the old section of town to use when you get tired of walking. Then on the ship....usually low 80's humidity is not bad always breezy, on board you are well taken care of. Always complainers everywhere, some folks takes a cruise and seldom leave their cabin, some stay so busy they are exhausted end of cruise, BUT I have never had better service ANYWHERE I have ever been!
